Last week, in addition to our Roadtrip work, we spent a couple of days on an iSafe lesson regarding Cyber Security. We learned all about how to keep our machines up and running, despite all of the malicious software (malware) out there. Some of the vocab covered: virus, worm, trojan horse, hard drive, RAM (random access memory), spyware, and adware. The kids learned a little about how their computer works, got to see the inside of a hard drive and found out what their computer is doing when it takes so long to boot up.
If you're curious, yourself, about any of these things, ask your child if they can update you!
